SPAR, Inc. has been providing quality Refractory products and precast service since our founding in 1982. It is our mission to provide high quality, specialized customer service and on-time delivery from one shipping point to our valued customers. Our position in the Southeast United States puts us in a great location to easily serve much of the industry in America. We believe the best way to achieve this goal is to stay focused on long term industries and for us to not get so big that we forget who pays the bills - the customers! We believe the adage that if you don’t take care of your customers the competition will.

Company Owners
Donnie McClellan has served in many capacities since the startup of SPAR, Inc. in 1982. Donnie is a graduate of Auburn University in Alabama. Donnie is our President and principal owner of the company.
Jimmy McClellan - Vice President joined Spar in 2006. Jimmy is Donnie’s cousin who sold a profitable business that he owned and managed for many years prior to coming out of an early retirement to work at our company. Jimmy is an Industrial Engineer by degree and he has been using those skills to modernize and make us very efficient.
Sales Team
Rick Simpson joined Spar in 2000 after many years with Allied Minerals. Rick handled the steel sales in the Chicago region for Allied. Rick’s current position is Vice President of Sales.
Bryan Nelson joined Spar in 2003 after many years with North American Refractories Co. Bryan was the Marketing and Technical Manager for Nonferrous Metals for 19 years with NARCO and three years for National Refractories. Bryan handles sales in the Midwest and West for SPAR.
Adam Allen joined Spar in 2005 after graduating from North Western college in Louisiana. Adam is located at our Jacksonville Office in Alabama. Adam is covering the Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana regions for Spar.
Bob Swerdon joined Spar in 2006 after many years with Resco Products. Bob has over 17 years experience in the Petrochem Industry. Bob lives in Houston in the heart of the Petrochem Industry.
Walter Smith joined SPAR in 2009 with a previous 9 Years in the Cement Industry working for TXI Cement as Pyro Process Supervisor managing Refractories and outages as well as serving as Kiln engineer. Walter has a previous history in power working for TXU in theDallas
